FORSYTH HOME CO. · NEIGHBORHOOD GUIDE
Living in Chattahoochee River Club
Chattahoochee River Club brings a wooded residential setting together with swimming, tennis and access to the landscape along the Chattahoochee. For buyers who want outdoor time to be part of everyday life, this Cumming community offers more to explore than the house alone.
At a glance
- Location: Cumming, Forsyth County, ZIP 30041, in the Buford Highway and River Club Drive area.
- Homes: Detached homes, including traditional designs with wooded yards and basement space.
- Community life: Pool, tennis, clubhouse and playground facilities, with a homeowners association and resident activities.
- Outdoor setting: The nearby Bowmans Island unit of the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area.
The homes
The neighborhood includes homes with generous gathering spaces, multiple bedrooms and lower levels that can offer room for work, guests or recreation. Wooded lots are a recurring part of the setting, though yard size, slope and privacy vary by property. A home backing to trees will feel different from one near the recreation facilities or an entrance.
On a tour, spend time outside as well as inside. Look at how the deck or patio connects to the yard, where sunlight reaches the home and how you would use any unfinished space. When comparing properties, consider renovation quality and the age of major systems alongside the floor plan.
Pool, courts and community life
The community association lists dedicated committees for its pool, tennis, clubhouse, pond and playground. It also coordinates social activities. These shared spaces give residents places to meet and spend time close to home.
The association is the best starting point for current facility hours, reservations and resident programs. Its website also provides access to community documents and architectural requests.
Exploring the river landscape
The National Park Service identifies River Club Drive and Trout Place Road as access routes to the southwest corner of its Bowmans Island unit. The west side includes hiking and horseback-riding trails. See the park’s visitor information when planning an outing.
A home in the neighborhood does not necessarily have river frontage. If a view, trail connection or particular outdoor feature matters to your plans, make it part of the property tour.
